OPLEVELSER 2026

EMIL MIDÉ ERICHSEN
12 March
“In Search of Adventure” – 12 March 2026
TALK with Emil Midé Erichsen
Theatre Hall, Teater Møn, Sukkerfabrikken
“The real journey – the one that truly matters – takes place inside your head.”
More than ten years ago, Emil Midé Erichsen and his brother Theis cast off the moorings of Havana and set out on a three-year circumnavigation of the globe. Along the way, the journey became the popular television series “Course Towards Distant Shores.”
Since then, Emil has given more than 300 talks, skied 200 kilometres across the Arctic, and sailed nearly half way around the world with his wife and their two young children.
In this talk, Emil takes the audience on a journey from being a young man with a dream of sailing around the world to standing in his mid-thirties, still insisting that adventure is possible in the midst of everyday life – with children, career and responsibilities.
“When I turn towards the sea, set my gaze on infinity and instead look inward, it is with the hope of finding answers to some of the questions about family life, community, dreams and adventure that I wrestle with. Since my frontal lobes began to fuse, these have been the central themes of my life. It is these ongoing reflections, anchored in concrete experiences, that I will share in this talk.”
Returning home from the circumnavigation aboard Havana was a profound transition. The compass had to be recalibrated, and a life with solid ground beneath one’s feet had to take shape. The path was winding, mistakes were made, and it was not until Louise posed the obvious question – “What do WE dream of?” – that the pieces began to fall into place.
For the past year and a half, Emil has sailed with his wife Louise and their two young sons from Denmark to the Caribbean. The journey is currently on pause, and Emil is temporarily back on land, generously sharing his experiences, thoughts and reflections in the talk “In Search of Adventure.”

ALICE IN WONDERLAND
The performance can be experienced as a special event during the summer.
A tribute to unreason, imagination and anarchy.
Follow Alice down the rabbit hole into a wondrous land where anything can happen. An enchanted place where imagination conjures the most extraordinary things out of nothing, and where everything is changeable, quirky and fantastical. A world where rabbits can talk, the Cheshire Cat leads you astray, and queens are neither beautiful nor kind, but brutally behead people.
A non-verbal journey through music, movement and magic.
